Shovelware Little-known Indie Simulation video game Strategy video game Business Sandbox

Cruisopolis: Cruise Line Tycoon is a management and building simulation about running a cruise line. Players start with a small river cruiser on the Rhine and work up through the shipyard to a coastal cruiser, a mid-size liner, a resort ship and a megaship, designing each ship's interior deck by deck inside a fixed hull: cabins from interior rooms to balcony suites, dining rooms and buffets, bars, pools, a theatre, a spa, a water park, galleys, stores, the laundry, crew quarters, the engine room and the bridge. They hire and schedule the crew, run power, fresh water, sewage, air conditioning and fuel, plan itineraries on the Rhine, along the Norwegian coast and through the Caribbean, and price cabins for simulated guests who write reviews after each voyage. Ships float on modelled weight and balance, and a sandbox mode can set off events such as a kraken, pirates, lightning storms, rogue waves and capsizes. The game has a six-chapter campaign, a sandbox and a creative mode.
