Aboutcollected.games

A home for your video game collection.

I have been playing video games for as long as I can remember. Some of my earliest memories are sitting on my dad’s lap in front of a computer playing Tetris, and playing SNES with friends. I didn't think of it as collecting then, I was just a kid who liked games and was lucky enough to keep them. My collection grew as I got older and kept playing, and I'm still adding to it today.

I built collected.games to be the collection tracker that I always wished existed, one that wouldn't require me to spend more time tracking than playing. I hope it also makes managing your collection easier, so you can also get back to the fun part: playing the games you love.

The catalog

The catalog is assembled from IGDB.com, with critic scores, compilation contents and media formats from Wikidata. On top of those sources it layers the details collectors actually care about: per-platform and per-region releases, and release format availability. Every game page has a “Suggest an edit” control for reporting anything that looks wrong.

Your collection

An account lets you track your library the way a shelf can’t: owned and wishlisted copies per platform, regions, completeness, play states, ratings, and hours. You can import an existing collection from a CSV export or a connected Steam account, and export everything back out again — it is your data.

AI agents

Collected speaks the Model Context Protocol, so you can connect an AI assistant — Claude, and any other MCP-capable client — to search the catalog, manage your collection, and write recommendation runs back into the app. Collected does not run its own AI models: recommendations are generated by an agent you bring and authorize, using its knowledge of games and the collection context this site provides. See Connect an agent to set one up.

Why I built it

Nobody starts collecting games because they enjoy data entry, and yet data entry is most of what tracking a collection has ever been: retyping box text, digging through a decade of purchase emails, keeping a spreadsheet honest about a collection that keeps changing. Every tool I tried required doing all of that by hand.

collected.games is built to end that. Hand your agent the messy inputs, photos of a shelf, an old CSV, a connected account, your old receipts, and let the filing happen without you.
